"Our room in the annex was directly in front of the Pantheon. Looking out our window (room 107) looked like a post card. You simply can not get a better location, or view, in Rome. The downside is the square is very noisy. With restaurants and people in the piazza at all hours, it would help to be a heavy sleeper. I have heard the main building is much quieter. Our room was older but clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great with a huge selection to choose from. Although a bit pricey, the view and location made it with the money."

"I travelled with my family in August of 2005 and stayed at this lovely hotel. Fabulous location - right off the piazza in front of the amazing Pantheon, with many restaurants and cafes in the piazza, and some great little osterias and trattorias just down the lane. The hotel was so picturesque, with the lovely breakfast area, open air, but with umbrellas for shade. Great breakfast, and great service from all the staff! Some of the rooms looked over the piazza, but we had no trouble with the noise, it was fine for sleeping. Because it is off the piazza, the taxi has to drop you off just around the corner - but the staff will come out to help with luggage. And you can always find your way back, just ask for the Pantheon!"

"If you want a unique hotel and experience, you must pick this hotel. Firstly, this is a small intimate boutique hotel with grand rooms from many centuries ago. Our lovely room was painted with frescoes on the ceiling and the shutters opened to reveal the most goregeous view of the Pantheon. The jacuzzi tub was a godsend after walking all day. Second, the location!!! You can walk to virtually anywhere- and we did. This is the first time I had been to Rome where I thought it was as easy to navigate as Florence. Thirdly, the food. My husband still talks about the sumptuous breakfast that was included in the price and the proscuitto de parma ham. The free internet is perfect for staying close to the family at home. There are charming private spots to read if you want to get out and the patio upstairs is lovely. This is a place for lovers and memories. DO NOT MISS!"

"Stayed here in October and had a good experience of the hotel. The concierge and staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and tidy. The location is fantastic because it is central to all the main attractions in Rome. Would recommend this hotel because it was unique and very friendly. Only down side is that we paid for 'VIP' service and were not told what this covered when we checked in. It was only when we checked out that we were told the mini bar in the room was free and various other perks that we had missed out on. Other than that it was a good hotel."

"We just returned from Rome!! While there we stayed at Albergo del Sole al Pantheon and what a wonderful hotel! The location is the best and the staff were extremely helpful. Our room was just beautiful. We will definitely stay there again."

The Pantheon which stands directly in front of the Albergo del Sole al Pantheon was constructed in 127 AD, by the Emperor Hadrian. (This is actually the third Pantheon, the first of which was built by Marcus Agrippa in 27 BC) Hadrian left the writing dedicated to Marcus Agrippa as a testament to this great engineering feat.
